Well I survived my trip to the southern tier of NY, and am back to start working on the site and especially the gallery. I want to get that up and working next. It would be great for all of you to post your pictures! Look for it soon

Should ther be a warning on the gallery like the ones on medicine bottles to be careful not to take in too much?

Glad you are back, Spence. Don't spend all your time on this thing, it would be a shame to let your bike sit when there is sunshine :-)

On the Yahoo group: New Members within the last seven days: 25

Whatever disadvantages Yahoo has, it's been easy for folks to find us and join. Think only 3 or 4 members here found this site before the Yahoo group. Everyone else was over there (including some new folks) then mozeyed here. Hope we'll enventually get into some search engines for folks to find us.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me how -- once we all move over here and carry on our conversations on the forum -- we'll magically no longer have 100 messages to sort through? We'll just have to come to the board to read them instead of getting them in our e-mail.

I still would like to have some form of "distribution group" for "chit chat" like the bantering back in fourth on the e-mails. Maybe a "chat" center would work.

that would work, if folks stick to it. There'd still be 100 new posts but folks who don't want to bother with banter could ignore it. Of course that's part of the family cameraderie but...

And unless the moderators started monitoring and moving that wouldn't change the way most conversations flow: Start out on a technical subject about oil in the sight glass and evolve into a discussion fo what someone's nic should be!
