So I noticed today on my bike that the Rear rim has a oil stain on the inned circumference only in a spot! I am assuming that the seal going from the differential to the actual tire has given up on me how hard is ti to change?

It's probably just some grease from the drive spline, unless you are leaking fluid it not a big deal.

And how do I go about regreasing the spline? is that something that i should worry about doing? could it be bearing going bad?

The spline lube procedure is in fergy's signature. Look for any post by fergy and you'll see it.

mine is leaking big time...throwing 90wt gear oil all over the inner circumfence of rear wheel....there is an oil seal [ Kawasaki part no. 92049-1212 ]..mines' an '04...bet they're all the same...looked at microfiche of rear hub assy...wow..way over my head...you have to disassemble entire thing to get to seal...I'm gonna to just have to suck it up and take it to dealer and let them do it...I was told though that they'll [ rear gear box ] will throw oil if they're over filled...hope this helps

Here is fergy`s spline lube write up. Taking the part off the bike and just taking the final drive into the shop will save you an hour or two off labor charges.
