Does anyone happen to know if the '85 clutch bracket (11044-1287) is interchangeable with the '86 (or newer...) bracket (11044-xxxx)? The images on the microfiche look identical. I apologize if there's already been a thread on this.

Bike was disassembled in one place, moved to another, put back together - couple wee parts turned up missing. This is the only one that's being a pain to replace. :(

Actually, nevermind, I guess. I just ran through the microfiche up to '06 and that part appears to be the same for the whole run of the VN700/750.

I ordered one from Bike Bandit, though I may go throw it at the head of the parts guy at the local Kaw shop when it comes in (if...).

Don't blame the parts guy, his knowlege is limited to what's on the screen in front of him. :doh:

does anyone know how to properly attach this bracket im having trouble figuring out how it bolts up to the block or frame. anyone who can post a pic of their lower clutch cable bracket on a 750 it would be greatly appreciated,

The picture/diagram does not look much like the piece I just looked at on my bike.
The bracket that holds the clutch cable just in front of the lever, fits between the stator cover and the oil sight glass.
The loop holding the cable is at the bottom and the screw holding the bracket to the engine is at the top.

Hope this is the right bracket and this description makes sense. Don`t know how to do pictures, sorry.
