I trying to grease the front spline and pull the u-joint off too far. now i cant get it back on. been trying for almost an hour. I'll get the teeth to bite a little but it wont slide back on. is there only one spot for it to go back onto. i thought it would go back in any spot. I'm stuck until I get it back together. Should i undo the swingarm?

thats crazy if it were me id pull the front bevel case and re seal it with 1 min gasket... should only take 15 min good luck btw it wll go on as long as the splines align there isnt just one spot ..... try moving the back tire up and down....

or pull the back and get the back splines while your at it

I got it finally. Turned out the swingarm that the drive shaft goes through has a dimple and the u-joint will hit it if it isn't in the right spot. so after a lot of cursing i realized this and then it was a matter of adjusting til the u-joint cleared the dimple.
