Back at it

Hey all, I used to be a member on the site but had lost my login info and can't seem to retrieve it. I was fairly new to the Forum under the username Young Buck 94 and was working on a build or beginning a build rather when I got called up for deployment. Here I am back after being gone most of 2016 I'm getting back to the work on the bike. Here's a pic of how it sits currently. I'm really psyched about this build and look forward to the advice and support from the vn75p community. I'll post up my plans for the project tomorrow. And I will be posting lots of pictures and the steps I've taken along the way I hope everybody enjoys and can maybe learn something from how I'm doing it cuz I sure learned a lot from everybody else's post.

God bless

So the plan goes like this.. Valve springs are going to be replaced along with the clutch. Engine is being painted gloss black. Dash replaced with a single digital gauge. New braided steel brake lines with a double banjo bromide the master to eliminate the splitter behind the horns. Horns relocated and replaced. Brake caliper rebuild. Sticking with the stock bars since I've really grown to like them and they have a good feel. Most likely completely replacing the brake master cylinder and clutch lever assemblies. Also toying with replacing all of the switches and housings. Relocate ignition to the side cover. 10.5" shocks I found for a great deal for a 883 sportster. Removing backrest/ toolbox and cutting seat down. New led blinkers and integrated taillight. Headlamp replacment. And of course hours upon hours of tedious cleaning, sanding and painting every little piece.

Also going to be replacing foot pegs and adding highway pegs too. Want to clean up the wiring behind the headlamp. And advice on other things that should be replaced would be appreciated.

if you're putting 10.5" shocks on you will need to relocate the r&r,which is under the battery box.might wanna raise up the fork tubes about one inch to bring the trail back a little, as it lowers down the front end to compensate for the 2.5"-3" the shorter shocks take outta the rear.
