Ear Shave/Air box Removal Loose Breathers

I have an 05 and I'm in the process of removing the ears and air box. I can tidy up all of the loose hoses to the air box (cap on right side vacuum port and coaster install). However, the small tube on the right and the larger breather tube on the left that attach to the front nipples on the air box right behind the radiator have me confused as to what they are and how to plug them.

I don't have a pic of the one on the right. What is it and should I plug it/remove it?

Here's a picture of the left side one that comes from the engine. Is this a crankcase breather? How would you/should you plug it?

For the crankcase breather, you can put a filter in the hose right there, or run a longer hose farther up. I slid a smaller fuel hose inside the larger hose and clamped it with the stock wire clamp, then mounted the filter where the right ear was. Most parts stores have the filters now. Round, cone, colors, or chrome.

The small hose on the right sounds like the condensate drain for the airbox, so it can be removed.
