1989 Vulcan 750 For Sale

Hello all,

I have a 1989 Vulcan 750 for sale. I have had this bike for several years now and have performed some of the usual modifications. I have done the ear shave and carb rejetting with K&N pod filters, have put coasters on, and fixed the automatic cam chain tensioner with a manual one, all projects have been performed as described on this site. I have put a new clutch in it several hundred miles ago as well as new front wheel bearings. I also recently replaced the battery. I no longer have the time to ride and invest in this bike and am looking to sell. I have recently cleaned and reinstalled the carbs, however, they could use some more tuning to get it to run properly. The gas cap on the tank could be replaced as well as it closes and works but needs something other than the key to open it.

I am listing the bike for $1100 OBO.

Please call or text at 301-491-2677.

I am located in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Interesting that you state you have owned the bike for several years and have done some of the modifications discussed here on our forum and yet now that you are ready to sell the bike you finally join and present a sales pitch with your first posting. That has happened a few times in the past and I also remember that at least one of those offering was not so great. I am not suggesting that you are doing anything shady but I just find your joining time and selling time to be odd in my opinion.

and always remember, "Ride until you rot!"
(One year plus with no signs of the Big "C" returning
so either I am not rotting now or I'm just plain rotten)

I have no problem with him registering to sell the bike. You'd probably be surprised that the majority of board readers don't even have an account.

$1100 seems like a fair deal!

I don't see what the big deal is. I was leaching info off the forum for a while before I decided to join. The forum life is just not for everyone. Not all of us have valuable info to contribute to the forum.

If they didn't want non members to soak in the vast ocean of wealth here then they would've have made it so only members can view things here.

With that said I do kind of understand that it doesn't really look good that the first and maybe even last post is selling the bike.

Don't take my word for it. I'm just a foolish newbie.
When in doubt, just know that I am only joking around.

That's fine Doc.

Go ahead and creative a private forum or club. There you can regulate who gets access to information.

Back to this forum: when I post information, I know it may help the person I'm replying to, as well as many others who straggle in from a Google search. Where I come from, helping others is not a bad thing.

Best of luck to the OP. Price is right! Just in time for summer.

I'm not saying helping people is bad.if you think that you obviously have not been paying attention. I am all for helping people. But there is a proper way to ask for it.I,as others here as well, was raised that of you need something, you introduce yourself before you ask.just common courtousy. But I guess that world is over with this instant everything bull****.yea let's take the human out of the equation.
